Para mi gusto es fea
Nice job, Stacy! Looks great
Thanks so much!
This video seems invaluable to me. I am in need of a product to repair football boots (cleats). I guess I will need to look at the Renia site to get info on what primers to use.
Whats an inch?
What leather is that?
Looks like some Natural Harness www.springfieldleather.com/Natural-Harness-Leather
Hi ! Could you add a products list ?
Beautiful place
Thank you!
Where do I get a weighted metal ruler like THAT?! :D
www.springfieldleather.com/Craftplus-Professional-Safety-Cutting-Rulers Here is one we offer just like that except it's black.
What application do you make use of for pattern designs
We use Adobe Illustrator.
First off, I just had to look up renaissance pants. It's been a few decades since I've been to one. Those look very comfortable. So thanks for that.
They are!
Do you know the cost of your subscription yet. Not on FB. Thanks
$4.99 you should find a button "JOIN"
@Springfield leather Where did you get the tree? And is there a leather product list for this project
All of that is in the works. I will be posting a community post that will have all of that this week so keep an eye out! We are going to make it as easy as possible for you to shop for all the components.
See this video for tree information. ruclips.net/user/liveCAlutWmjfaA Pricing is about 43 min into this video.
Im subscribed on yall for youtube but dont see how to do a paid subscription??
There should be a button labeled JOIN on videos now.
We just finished setting all that up. I will make a community post that Links everyone to a sign-up. Thank you!
Do we get a discount to purchase the recorded ones if we subscribe for the live? Or how does that work? Lol
Recorded videos will be free. They will have some lulls removed in them.
MUCH better lighting! We can see your beautiful face(s)! Thank you!
how do you effectively bevel to the end where the corners are?
Denny needs a raise 🧐
Agreed!
How often do you have saddle classes
This is going to be the first and most likely the only one. Denny spends more times these days teaching people how to tool vs making saddles.
Why do some makers CURVE THE BUSCADERO, AND SOME MAKE THEM STRAIGHT?
Secondly the processes of top coating your leather too was also explained throughly. I really dislike resolene as it gives a plastic feel and kills any leather smell plus seals any future option of conditioning leather. I want a level of protection that doesn't take away leather for being leather and it's beauty in its natural state.
This episode was absolutely dynamite folks. Being a European crafter and actually realising the differences between our hides and the states due to tanning process and fibre was brilliantly explained as I've personally experienced it myself.
Thank you!
Good to see Mrs. Denny and Miss GrandDenny!! So she likes Skunks and Flowers....things that smell....
That's why she keeps Denny around! Haha. Just kidding!
Denny talking about Jim Linnel reminded me of my career mentor. He wanted to teach because he claimed it was the best way to learn and hone skills. he said that students would ask questions that came from a perspective the teacher had never envisioned and that would make them think and learn so they could answer.
Why not just dip dye, and then dont worry about it
I have been watching y'all for the past several weeks and love the content and the information ...Thank you
Thank you! We appreciate you giving us your time! 😄
One of the coolest leatherwork videos that didn't involve actually doing a project I've watched. Very interesting insite into a world I one day hope to be more involved in. Thanks SLC.
What type of swivel knife are you using here? It looks awesome 😁
Dylan mulvany does leather now?
Mike DeWitt was the last teacher at Boot & Saddlemaking Program, Green Country Technology Center closed in 2013, I believe 1 year program when I went there.
Sailrite has some specific leather machines now. The one I have can get about 12-14 oz leather through it. Only draw back for me is that you can't use the thicker threads with it, but will still do a great job
👍
This is the most thorough and easy to understand video, that I’ve seen for strap cutters! Thank you, so much!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the knowledge sharing 🏴☠️🤙
You bet
Got to catch it when it went live. Very cool to hear from this gentleman. I’m very new to leather crafting and all this is so fascinating. Appreciate the content.
Welcome aboard the leather crafting world and glad you could catch it live!
@@SpringfieldLeather thank you, I appreciate the information you have shared and documented for the community. Hope you have a great week. 🏴☠️🤙
Awesome. Learned so much ❤️❤️❤️
So glad!
I took my very first class from Jim in 2024 in Miles City. I have never done leather work and he tought us to do a feather. Made it look so easy, good instructor and an amazing professional craftsman doing leather work
That is awesome!
I wonder what the flesh side would look like if dipped
We dipped a few splits and it gives it a matte look. Some of the things Liz ended up doing had a very 70s vibe to it.
This intro is without a doubt my all time favourite. Never saw it coming.
:) Thank you!
I enjoy making things out of leather, i enjoy having them and looking at them. That's why i originally subscribed to this channel. But... I have no idea what "learher trading cards" look like, what they're supposed to be, or anything about them. It would've been nice if you could've started out this show by showing some closeups of some. Even photos would've been better than nothing. As a result, i didn't watch the video, cuz I'm not going to watch a long ass video for nothing. Sorry. I only got long though into it to see that you weren't going to show anything until you hopefully showed what you worked on at the end. 👎
ruclips.net/p/PLcdn9pG3GcxX8VdTOHZobKpnaIeDLs-k1 Check this out. Hope it helps.
I will be ready to watch this stream live. Thank you SLC
So glad to see this video. Would loved to be at show
The guy from 23+ is former pro bull rider, Joe Meling.
Liz! It was great meeting you and your husband on Saturday, along with meeting Dan & Denny’s wife.
Very nice
Thanks!
So much for ASMR
My problem was I tried too use chrome tam leather
In a "pinch"..... dental floss makes great thread. It's strong and is often waxed. I tapped the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters.

That is correct!!! Welcome to world of leathercrafting!
